Maisie Russell

Maisie Russell is an Assistant Vice President of Tax at Travelers. She was the Co-Chair of the Black and African American & Allies Diversity Network from 2019 -2021 and is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Hartford where she teaches corporate state income tax.

Maisie is enthusiastic about developing others and making a difference in her community. She exercises her leadership skills outside of Travelers as a board member on various non-profit organizations. In 2013 she received a distinguished volunteer award from Chrysalis Center, in recognition of her service and dedication to the organization and was re-elected to the board in January 2022, currently serving as a member of the finance committee. In 2016 she received a distinguished member award from the National Association of Black Accountant, Hartford Chapter.

She earned her B.S. in accounting from Central Connecticut State University, and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Hartford.

Maisie is an active member of NAAIA, Greater Hartford Chapter, and looks forward to using her skills to advance our mission and goals.
