Ngozi Nnaji

Ngozi Nnaji is a seasoned insurance professional with over 27 years of experience in the industry. As the Principal and Managing Partner of AKO Brokerage Services, she has carved out a niche in serving small to middle-market, minority-owned businesses. Her dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is evident through her work with AKO

Insurance Consulting, where she helps organizations integrate DEI strategies into their operations to create more inclusive cultures and expand their market reach into diverse communities.

 

Ngozi Nnaji has played a key role in NAAIA, initially serving as the inaugural President of the Greater Hartford Chapter. She also served on the NAAIA National Board as Secretary and the Chairperson of the Agent Engagement and Development Committee, which focused on advancing the growth and representation of Black agents and brokers in the insurance industry.

 

Ngozi's impact extends beyond her professional roles. For example, she is the Founder of The Black Friday Network, the first Black-owned multidisciplinary insurance network of Black-owned independent insurance agencies in the United States. She has served as a Distinguished Lecturer at Fisk University, where she developed and delivered courses in Risk Management & Insurance.

 

She has received numerous accolades, including the Global 100 Award from Insurance Business America in 2022 and 2024, the Elite Woman of the Year Award in 2021 and 2023, and the Women’s Insurance Advancement Award from ACORD in 2021.

 

Ngozi Nnaji's dedication to the insurance industry, her commitment to diversity and inclusion, and her passion for education and mentorship have made her a respected leader and innovator in her field.
